Dan Lips is a Senior Policy Analyst at The Heritage Foundation, where he researches and writes on federal and state education issues.
His research has been widely cited and he has appeared on major media outlets. His articles and commentaries have appeared in print and online venues such as The Washington Post, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Education Next, and The Georgetown Journal of Law and Public Policy. Lips also has testified before congressional and state legislative committees. In 2008, he was appointed to the D.C. Advisory Committee for the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights.
In addition, Lips is a Senior Fellow at the Goldwater Institute. He earned his bachelor's degree in politics from Princeton University and his master's degree in statecraft and national security affairs from the Institute of World Politics in Washington, D.C.
