Recently, she directed PIRG's Student Debt Alert project, which played a major role in transforming the national debate over college affordability including the movement of national legislation that created more flexible and responsive loan repayment options for student borrowers. She also oversees campaign work to lower the cost of textbooks and protect college students as credit card consumers. Prior to her current position, Lindstrom was the Organizing Director of MASSPIRG's campus organizing program from 1999 to 2004. In that capacity, she was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the campus chapters, including staff oversight, program development, and volunteer recruitment and development. She started with MASSPIRG's staff in 1992.
